The fade begins around the temple, roughly halfway up the side of the head, and blends from skin into the length on top. It is the middle option between a low and a high fade and the most commonly requested of the three.

- Most face shapes, because it neither lengthens nor widens the head
- Anyone who wants the fade clearly visible but not dramatic
- Pairing with length on top, from a crop through to a pompadour
Styling it
- Works with almost any style on top, which is why it is the default choice.
- Bring a photo if you want the fade to start higher or lower than the temple.
As it grows out
Holds its shape for about two weeks, then the line where the fade starts begins to soften and the sides start to look heavy.
